Hi! I'm Saheb.
I'm a freshman at Stanford studying Symbolic Systems (CS + Philosophy + Math). I'm also figuring out what I should do next.
I aspire to create value for the world, and to be valued by the people in it. I believe that AI is the defining technology of our time, and I want us to get it right.
To this end, I'm currently:
- Communicating to the public about AI risk @ Center for AI Safety
- Figuring out how students should career plan for AI @ Encode (see: my curated advice list)
I'm also a fellow at the Foresight Institute and a board member of Civics Unplugged.
Previously I:
- Founded an org where I researched young people's attitudes towards AI (TIME)
- Directed the world's largest student essay contest on philosophy and AI, with Oxford's Global Priorities Institute
- Tested Meta's safety guardrails on Instagram Teen Accounts (WaPo)
- Worked at the Non-Trivial Fellowship, co-led Sacramento's Climate Task Force, and advised on Project Liberty's bid to buy TikTok
- (Was a school mascot)
